Did you know Australia has a cork forest in Canberra?

Yes it's true, a cork forest was planted in Canberra in 1917.  The first cork oak seedlings planted at the Arboretum site were propagated from acorns sent to Charles Weston at the Yarralumla Nursery by Walter Burley Griffin, an American Landscape Architect.
